The project consists of the renovation of a 2400 sq ft raw space into a residence for a young bachelor. 

Concept:  BLURRING
There is an explicit intention to erode the distinction between various program elements and certain basic architectural conditions.  A limited palette of materials- each selected for their versatility- is used to create these conditions.  The result is a series of interrelated spaces characterized by a “quiet dynamism”.

The primary materials are Brazilian walnut wood and white-cream travertine slabs.  There are also extensive use different kinds of glass, including sand-blasted, clear, plate mirror and one-way mirrors.  These “thin” materials are used in contrast to the heavier, more solid expression of the wood and stone.
